MOONS - AN OVERVIEW

Ganymede seems to possess a number of ocean levels, stacked up with layers of ice in between them. The best level of ice is the crust, which could be about one hundred fifty kilometers (about 90 miles) thick. The bottom ocean amount might be 800 kilometers (about 500 miles) down below that, just over the primary layer with the moon’s rocky interi
